Ideas

For this I have 3 ideas but I really don't know which one to do,

1. Something to do with anime like the history of it or how it became so popular.
2. The development of a character, such as Midoryia or Todoroki from My Hero Academia or Kaneki from Tokyo ghoul.
3. Blockbuster, there is only 3 left and they are all in America and I don't have the money to go there but I could go to the places were there used to be in Kings Lynn.
4. Kittens!!!!!!!!!!! what more is there to explain

basic idea of each(to help me decide):- 

how anime became popular

In this it will start with the development of early anime, after, when it started to go international, then when dubbing was introduced and when studios outside Japan started to make anime, all while showing how popular it got because of these things.

development of a character

It would follow one of these 3 characters if it was Todoroki or Midoriya then it would be around how they develop over the anime as heroes in training. If the focus was on Kaneki then the focus would be on how his strength develops

Blockbuster

This would be how popular they were then how they all went out of business because of online streaming platforms such as Netflix and Hulu.
Kittens
Over the weeks I have filmed the kittens sleeping, playing and eating so I have plenty of footage for a short documentary about the development or something else, of the kittens
also been watching kitten care videos, so I do have some idea about what I could do.

Chosen Idea: Kittens

One of the 4 kittens, doesn't have a name yet as
they all look the same.

I will talk about the development of kittens, maybe get someone else to do the voice over. I was thinking of probably just doing week 4 to 5 as I have lots of videos of them playing and climbing, there is background noise such as the TV so I will either have to cut the sound and just have background music or I will record the kittens mewing and purring and just have that as a background track with a little music.
                                                                                                          

Documentary Project Proposal

My goal for this documentary is to teach something new about kittens that isn’t common knowledge.

The subject of my documentary is my kitten’s day to day life, what they do in them and how that helps them grow, until they go to their forever homes.

The necessary information the audience must know to intrigue them is how cute kittens are, this would be shown through the visual element showing how cute they are as they grow up.

The main characters in my documentary are the kittens, Fizz, Tink, Maiviz and Baby. They are siblings and my cats. Nora, she is their mother and my cat.

The kittens are the main focus of the documentary.

The kittens are the ones who will provide the visual evidence of the facts said during an interview or voice over.

Betti, my sister, she is one of the people who over these past couple of weeks have helped to look after the kittens.

Ruth, my mum, has also helped over the past few weeks to look after the kittens.

This documentary is going to be structured like the documentary I looked into when doing my research, the secret life of kittens, like the documentary there will be a voice over which will be in an interview style similar to touching the void, I will also have small parts from interviews I do with my mum and sister who have helped look after the kittens.

My documentary will explore how kittens from birth grow into house cats, how you can train them and what they usually do from day to day and how its changed over the past few weeks and helped them develop.

This documentary will cover how their behaviour from new-borns to kittens helps them grow into house cats.

The narrative pf the documentary will follow the kittens from birth until they go to their forever homes, The lighting for this will be warm, orange, as they are house cats and homes are warm loving places. The camera will be dotted around as its just observing them, pressing record when they do something cute or something I need for the documentary such as when they sleep or eat.

This documentary will be mostly expository as it will be very similar to David Attenborough’s nature documentaries, with the observational footage of the kittens and voice over of what they are doing and some fact as to why they might be doing that.

The documentary will, end with what will happen next after the kittens have gone to their forever homes, how it impacts Nora and the 2 we have decided to keep. Possibly a summary of what we’ve learned. The start would have a small intro of the voice over stating when they were born… The ending will probably be the same how old they are now and what they’re going to do next.

The subject in this documentary are my cat’s kittens and will be giving mine and my families opinion on how it’s been raising kittens. My family and I have primarily looked after the kittens so know all their patterns and habits.

Nora had the kittens just before we started this project and was still thinking of an idea for this so I don’t have any good footage of the kittens when they were new-born, the only good footage I would is from when they were 5 weeks, particularly when they 6 to 7 weeks old when I actually had the camera for a while. I can’t go back to get new-born footage so will just have to make do with the footage I do have and maybe focus in the documentary on those weeks I do have good footage of.
